We're Going to Kentucky!

With their 0n going dramatic play interest, the children in Pre-School One made their own props for one of their favourite action songs "We're going to Kentucky'.
First the girls disassembled a few colourful lei's from the the $2 shop. Then each choosing their own colour combinations, they carefully used the glue gun to attach the petals to a plastic hair comb.

The flower petals were all the colours of the rainbow and looked spectacular. The girls kept looking at themselves in the mirror admiring their vibrant headdress. They were simply made but looked striking, and were ideal props for the children's action song......

"We're going to Kentucky we're going to a fair, to see a senorita with flowers in her hair.

Shake it baby shake it, shake it if you can, shake it like a milk shake and drink it if you can!

Rumble to the bottom rumble to the top, turn around and turn around and see if you can stop! "

Later we added colourful lei's for the boys who were equally as proud of their new accessory!
This is going to be a fabulous resource for Mat Time, and prop for Dramatic Play.

Tune into the Video performance of "We're Going to Kentucky" by Pre-School One.
