Today we explored dye on paper towels, we used the primary colours (red, blue and yellow) with thin brushes to explore the colours by themselves, as well as what happens when the colours mixed together. The children got really excited when the colours mixed on their paper towels, naming the new colours that were being made. Through this experience, we have been looking at a different way to be creative and expressive, as well as making sense of colour mixing. Perhaps we could use black and white with the primary colours and see what happens when they mix.
