With our Rugby Journey flourishing in Preschool Two, we were all eagerly awaiting the start of the Rugby World Cup.
On Friday 9th September, we kick started the celebrations with a Rugby World Cup Party across the Preschool. All the children were very excited to be dressed in their chosen country and ready to proudly represent them in our opening ceremony parade. The celebrations continued throughout the day with a National Anthem performance, Haka lesson and some very yummy rugby treats, including our very own rugby cake we had made, silver fern cookies and yummy country cupcakes from Trent.

The Haka with Mihaere Emery
We were lucky enough to have a special visitor Mihaere, who travels the world for the NZ Rugby Union introducing the Haka to the World. He gave us a insight into it's origin, a performance and then went through Ka Mate step by step so we could all join in.
Our Tutiro Mai Thank you to Mihaere

Go Wales! You guys look fabulous! Loving the pic of Blake when he first entered the room. What a great day! It's great to see the centre making the most of all the current events. Thanks for the pics, Susan (Blake & Reece's Mum)
