Little Architects

This week I have noticed some children being very busy in the block corner. We had amazing architectural constructions developing on the floor and on the shelves. The children involved showed very good balancing skills, simple math knowledge and creativity.

Madeleine and Fletcher build two towers with the same foundation on the block shelf. While building the towers they were busy talking to each other, which helped them to work as a team.



Cameron called me into the block corner to show me her balancing tower, when I asked her how she got it to balance she told me: "they are half circles, you have to make sure were you put the ends so that they stay on".



And then there was Nadja's person, who she declared has her Dad.


Very clever constructions! I am looking forward to seeing more building developing.
